A Friday night game as #1 Purdue takes on #9 Illinois. A game that saw a lot of Northern Indiana kids in action. Boilers came out super hot going up 20-4 in the first 8 minutes. Zach Edey saw foul trouble in the the latter have of the first and most of the second, which helped allow the Illini to get back in and make a game of it. Trey Kaufman-Renn stepped up with a big 23 points and Lance Jones added another 17 as Purdue wins their sixth straight game against top 10 opponents, 83 to 78.
