In front of the largest crowd for a Purdue women's home game, announced as 14,876, The Lady Boilermakers faced off against the fourth ranked Lady Hoosiers from Indiana University. Purdue started off slow and Indiana was steady, going up 7 within the first four minutes of the first quarter. Lasha Petree hit a jumper getting Purdue back into the game. Caitlyn Harper and Aussie Abbey Ellis scored the next four buckets to end the quarter with the Boilers down 14-10.
Purdue kept the pressure on, starting the 2nd quarter off hot. Jumpers by Ellis, and Cassidy Hardin (Center Grove HS) put the Lady Boilers ahead by 3. Indiana took the lead back after a few jumpers from Chloe Moore-mcneil. Just before half, Northern Indiana's own Madison Layden (Northwestern H.S.) hit a jumper and a foul shot. The half ended with the Hoosiers up 31-26. From there Indiana never looked back.
Purdue was ice cold in the 3rd quarter only getting 2 points from a Cassidy Hardin jump shot. The Hoosiers took advantage and by the end of the 3rd, were up 22 points. The Boilers warmed up a bit in the 4th quarter, but it was not enough and Indiana closed out the game winning 69-46
