It was a beautiful day in October for family day and football at Ross-Ade, but it was a tough day for the Boilermakers on the field. Once again they were blanked in the second half by a Big Ten Opponent and ended with the loss.
The Badgers only passed 8 times for 52 yards, but ran it 51 times for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Purdue never seemed to get much going and had a tough time keeping possession of the ball. At the end of the 1st, Cam Allen recovered a fumble at the Wisconsin 39. A few short plays after that Aiden O'Connell hit Patrick Durham with a 10 yard pass for a touchdown. After that, Purdue's offense had three interceptions and two fumbles.
The biggest and brightest moment for the Boilermakers came with 6:25 left in the second when George Karlaftis, West Lafayette, IN, picked up a forced fumble and ran it 44 yards for a touchdown. Unfortunately it was not enough for the Boilers and the Badgers, including Senior center Joe Tippmann (75) of Fort Wayne, IN ended up with the victory, 30-13.
